对于久居在大理的人来说,已经失去了将大理作为旅游景观感受的视角。不过我们会时常观看一种叠加的行为:当人们来到这里的时候,会拍个照——景物和游客的集合。
我们可以推测,或者我们自己本身也是这样做的(当我们离开大理去其他地方时)到达一个地方,特别是旅游景点,特别是标签化的旅游景点,图片是获得一种认同感的方式。将自我呈现在风景当中,通过图片展示一种闲散的、优美的、遗世独立的个人特征。
而且,图片已经垄断了通过旅游行为建构起意义的所有可能性。也就是旅游几乎等于了拍照。在图片托拉斯的当下,旅游的其他意义是否还有空间。比如:对文化意义的探寻,对另外一种生活状态的观察,对自己生活场景的反思。
这是我们通过声音来完成一个有趣的探索,这个项目的依次思考过程和操作程序如下:
一、 如果垄断这种意义建构的不是图片而是声音,会是怎样。
二、 我们可以试试用图片的瞬时记录的方式操作声音记录——用录音笔快速点按的记录。
三、 我们选取了大理诸多著名的景点,并在正在景点拍照的人正前方录制音频。
四、 在reaktor中用逐渐接近快门速度去播放采集到的几十个小片段。
五、 声音处理的瞬时必须在连续性的时间内才是可行的,所以我们把这些片段依次播放。
六、 听着音频思考了一下:我们在多微小的瞬间才会失去对声音声源、意义的感知,而把这些片段整合成一段独立的声音。
将这些音频整理完成,我们调整了不同的时间去播放这些片段。从1/2秒的间隔到1/300的间隔。听听景观。
For those who have lived in Dali for a long time, they have lost the perspective of Dali as a tourist landscape. But from time to time, we watch a superimposed act: when people come here, they take a picture – a collection of scenery and tourists.
We can speculate, or we ourselves do this (when we leave Dali to go elsewhere) to get to a place, especially a tourist attraction, especially a labeled tourist attraction, and the picture is the way to gain a sense of identity. Presenting oneself in the landscape, through pictures to show a kind of idle, beautiful, and independent personal characteristics.
Moreover, images have monopolized all possibilities for constructing meaning through the act of tourism. That is, tourism is almost equivalent to taking pictures. In the moment of the picture trust, there is still room for other meanings of tourism. For example, the exploration of cultural significance, the observation of another state of life, and the reflection on one’s own life scene.
This is an interesting exploration of our use of sound, and the sequential thought process and operating procedures of this project are as follows:
1. What would happen if the monopoly of this kind of meaning was not construction of pictures but sounds?
Second, we can try to operate the sound recording in the way of instantaneous recording of pictures – the recording with a quick tap with a voice recorder.
3. We selected many famous scenic spots in Dali and recorded audio in front of the people who were taking pictures at the scenic spots.
4. Reaktor plays dozens of captured clips at a gradually approaching shutter speed.
5. The instantaneous sound processing must be continuous in time to be feasible, so we play the clips one after the other.
6. Listen to the audio and think about it: how small a moment do we lose the perception of the source and meaning of the sound, and integrate these fragments into an independent sound.
Once the audio was organized, we adjusted the timing to play the clips. From 1/2 second interval to 1/300 of an interval. Hear about the landscape.
